Question Combine rows where data in one column may match.

Hey there everyone, so I have a list with names, addresses, and items ordered. Currently, if people did two separate orders then they will have two rows although their items are being sent to the same place. This also applies if one person has more than one item, so each row has the persons information along with one item per row. I want to be able to see where the address are the same and where they are; combine them, not all of the information should be combined though, such as the name and address don't need to be, the item should be the only column with information being combined. I have found ways to combine where the address are the same but I am then left with the rows where information has been combined, when those need to be deleted once combined. I will attach a sample of what I am looking at. ** none of the information in the attached file is actual.

    Hi,

If I understand you correctly, I think you can achieve what you are looking for via a PIVOT Table.

Attached is your example with a Pivot Table to the right of your data.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Cheers

Thank you so much Southward, that looks like it will give me the data that I want. However I am not very familiar with pivot tables so if you could help me with how you set that one up it would be fantastic!

    Hi,

Glad I could be of some assistance.

Pivot Tables are something you just have to play with.

If I was looking over your shoulder it would be easy for me to show you. However, it is to complicated for me to try and provide instruction via this forum.
There are lots of websites that give examples and instruction on pivot tables.

    Here is one:

    Here is one via YouTube:

    Hope this is helpful.
