5.5% sales tax rate and rounding

WI adopted a new sales tax of 5.5% (.055). When I calculate a list of sales items INDIVIDUALLY for tax, it multiples by .055 and then rounds up to two decimal places, i.e. $1.00 = 6 cents tax. HOWEVER when I ADD up the COLUMN of calculated taxes, it adds up the UNROUNDED value, i.e. $0.055 cents on the dollar, NOT the rounded up value in the cell. I need to add up the rounded up values.

Go to Options=>Advance=>formulas=>when calculating this workbook=> and check the box

    Set precision as displayed.

Re: 5.5% sales tax rate and rounding

I am working with Excel 2007 and under Excel Options I cannot find this box. It certainly sounds like the answer to my problem if I could only find it. What tab is it under: Formulas? Advanced?
