I may be overthinking this but here is my issue:
I have one pivot table that has data from 2016 (Actuals) and another pivot table that has data from 2017 (forecast). The data is broken down by month so Jan 2016, Feb 2016, Jan 2017, Feb 2017. When I combine these two pivot tables into a line graph, excel obviously has all the actual data on the left in the 2016 range and the forecast data on the right in the 2017 range.
How can I have excel ignore the year and have a comparison of these two line graphs over top of each other by month?
Would I use power pivot to do so?
Thanks.
