    Gantt Chart in Excel

I am trying to create Gantt Chart in Excel using stacked bar chart but every time I try to change bounds for minimum and maximum (Axis Options), the color on the graph changes as well, which should stay the same. The main problem is that I have multiple start dates. See example below:

Design Date Manufactured Date Retail Date
    Jeans 3/15/2014 7/20/2014 11/10/2015
    Pants 11/15/2016 3/17/2017 4/5/2017
    Dresses 5/25/2014 9/15/2014 12/2/2015

Design Date should be one color, Manufactured Date should be another color and retail date should be a third color. Dates should be listed on the bottom of x-axis and jeans, pants and dresses should be listed on the left of y-axis.

Have you searched for tutorials for doing what you are asking?

Here is one and I've seen many others on youtube

Maybe going thru one of the tutorials will help pinpoint where the error lies.

    Here's another

Can you explain why it does not work or what you are having difficulty with in implementing the tutorials mentioned? As illustrated in Jeff's links (and explicitly stated in the Excel help file for Gantt charts https://support.office.com/en-us/art...7-F0FB34D9E2B6 ), A Gantt chart in Excel is simply a stacked bar chart with appropriate formatting.

Looking at the simple table that you have, you would need to calculate a couple of "durations" (manufacture date-design date and retail date-manufacture date), then use those columns in addition to the design date column in a stacked bar chart to get a simple Gantt chart. Are you thinking of something different?
