I am trying to count the number of pipes that were made within a certain date range. This is the formula I am using: =COUNTIFS(F:F,">="&DATE(1899,1,1),F:F,"<="&DATE(1949,12,31)). The dates are in column F which there are around 5000 rows. Each row represents one pipe, the other columns contain other information such as a pipe identification number but this is irrelevant to this particular formula. I am trying to count the number of cells AKA the number of pipes with a date between 1900 and 1950. The formula is currently giving me a result of 0 (which is not correct). If I copy and paste 50 of the dates or so into another sheet and copy and paste the same exact formula it works in the other sheet but I cannot get it to work in the sheet that I need it to (the one with 5000 rows). I have tried everything and I cannot get it to work. I am certain that the formula is correct since it works in the smaller sheet when I test it there. Some of the cells do not contain a date and are blank since this information was never recorded or lost or something like that for that particular pipe; these blank cells are the only thing I can think of that may be casuing a result of 0 to show up. However when I include blank cells in the smaller sheet to test the formula it does not affect it at all. Any ideas on what may be causing the equation in this particular case to give me a 0?
Thanks
