Read Only
Hi
At my work we have shift rota file that is accessed by multiple users, the problem being is if any one of them don't log out properly the file is read only to everyone else and therefore can cannot be edited.
Is there a way of being able to check and see who has left the file open?

If you try to protect the sheet, you should get a list of connected users, from which you can disconnect anyone.

A different approach:
- may not be relevant here, but may be of general interest
- this closes a file automatically after a period of "no activity"
- where "no activity" = no change in a value anywhere in the workbook
