I'm having trouble answering an excel question:
"Explain the difference in selecting data for a column chart and a pie chart"
I've searched for the answer and can't find it. So can you help me out?

Hi,
In terms of the mechanics of the creation of a chart in Excel, there is no difference.

I'm going to agree with xlnitwit, I don't see a difference in selecting data for column and pie charts. I would have to ask the test creator/administrator what they are looking for in this question. I guess one difference is that a pie chart cannot really show multiple columns/data series, but that seems like a silly thing to be asking about on a test.
Possibly a "trick" question, where the expected answer is some variation on "no real difference"?
