Timeline help-Merge cell and input task base on date.

Hi, I am doing a timeline where I use Conditional Formatting to Fill up the cell with colours base on the start and end date of a task.
However, my boss ask if its possible to have the cell to be Merge and somehow have the task written on the Merged cell.
He also ask if its possible to have the Colour fill base on another Cell colour. Coz the list is actually very very long. Hence its quite hard to see if all the colour is the same
