    center the color gradient

    Hey guys!

So I'd like to fill up my Spider-chart with radial rainbow-color (gradient). I hoped to find the net filled with diferent colors from the centre of the chart to the border. But the center color will not be shown in the center of the diagramm. How can I stick the color gradient to the center?

    Thanks in advance!

The fill goes from the center of the polygon rather than the center of the chart.

Best you could do is use multiple series to create hexagonal bands of colour

Yeah I guess you are right. The center of the colourful area always shifts away from the center, depending on the different values.
Could you please give me an example for how to create hexagonal bands of different colours?

You shall use several series and function MIN(real_value,radius_for_given_series) + format with appropriate colors (better/smoother, especially greens and blues, than I used )

    Re: center the color gradient

Thanks a lot for your input!

I have one more question: The idea is that I enter numbers between 1 and 6 into the green part of the table.
The Spider chart should then change the value (numbers between 1 and 6) of the categories (A to P) to the given value from the green chart.
So, every time I change the values of the categories A to P in the green table the spider chart should adjust the values and keep the given background colour.
The other parts should become transparent.

So thats how it should look in the end (I photoshoped it, unfortunally I couldn't find out how to do it with excel).

The first picture shows how it should look like, the second picture shows how it is right know. The spider graph should be able to adjust the graph if the values of the green table are changing.

I also attached my excel file.

Thanks a lot for your help!!

    Re: center the color gradient

The banding has to be applied to the whole of the radar. You will not be able to get the appearance you want as the angle of change between points will mean the fill either goes outside or just inside the bounding line.
