Hi all -Some assistance please if someone has the time.
I need to multiply two cells.
The cells have the following in
Cell A1 has one of the following entries (data validation list)
1 - Minor
2 - Possible
3 - Probable
4 -Almost Certain
Cell A2 has
1- Minor
2- Significant
3- Major
4- Catastrophic
Cell A3 needs a formula to multiply the number of A1 and A2 together -
Can someone help please?

Try this:
=LEFT(A1)*LEFT(A2)
