Using comma as a decimal point

    Hi!

I know that commas can be used as number separators, and how to do that (eg 1000 as 1,000). However, as I am in an engineering environment, I would like to be able to use a comma as a decimal point (as per the drawing standards). So 1.25 would be written as 1,25

Is there a way of doing this?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Stephen

Select the cell properties & enable 1000 separator. Please refer the screenshot for the same.

Yes - change your settings in Excel (Options > Advanced). You can opt not to use the system separators and then stipulate your own.

Thanks AliGW, that was exactly what I needed.

Thanks also, than_gold, but that wasn't what I was after; I needed to use a comma as a decimal point, not as a thousand separator.
