    Check your Custom List

Options - Advanced - General - Edit Custom List

That's very odd... I am not able to replicate the issue. When I type "January" (without the quotes) into cell A1 and drag it down through A12, I get "January" through "December" (without the quotes).

It looks like your months are going backwards. What exactly is in cell A1? Is it a date, a formula, or just the word January?

Just the word January. The solution from Sandy works only if i'm using sort. What I want to do is simply type the word January in cell A1 and drag it down so it can give me the remaining months in order. Thank you,

Well, the result is not normal. Is this happening in all workbooks?

If you open a new blank workbook and try it there, are you getting the same result?

It works because Months are defined in Custom List
If there is a list with wrong order you'll get wrong order in the sheet

Select whole sheet, then Clear All, then try again

So I reviewed my custom list and I have a few entries. One of them is the months in chronological order then I have another custom list with the months in revers order. I specifically chose the months in chronological order and I followed your steps "new work book", it's still not working. This is what I get when I attempt to use the fill handle after I enter January in cell A1, any ideas? Thanks again-

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Workbook should contain your "errors"

Write in A1 January then in A2 February,
select A1 and A2 then drag down till December
