is it possible to filter two tables column at once !?

    dear all,

i am using two tables in an excel file as following:

    - table 1 consists of 3 columns as following:
    * column one is Date of purchase
    * column one is Product Description
    * column one is Product Cost

    - table 2 consists of 2 columns as following:
    * column one is Date of month closing
    * column one is the total amount for the month date

my question is the following, when i filter on the date column of table 1 and choose the dates that belongs to January 2018, is it possible that table 2 will filter automatically on the same criteria and shows only dates that belongs to January 2018 ?

I attached a small sample of my data.

    thank you

    P.S. i am using Ms. Excel 2013

    Welcome to the forum!

Your profile says Excel 2010 - please would you update this to show what you are actually using?

Re: is it possible to filter two tables column at once !?

One would think that it is possible to tie multiple tables to a filter/slicer, however the third post of this thread seems to show that it isn't.
Attached is a solution of sorts. Two pseudo tables (ranges) are populated based on the data in the two tables, and the drop down date value in cell I2
    1) The formula for the 'Raw Product Purchase' range is:

    2) The formula for the 'EOMonth Balance' range is:
