Out of nowhere, certain hyperlinks in Excel worksheet to internet sites stopped working. "The connection to the internet site took longer than allotted time." Fails in both Excel 2003 and 2007 and on multiple computers. I can copy the link and paste it to an address bar in my browser (either Firefox or IE) and it works there, but not from worksheet cell that contains the link. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Please attach a sample workbook that displays the problem.

So it has something to do with the site. Maybe they changed their security requirements?
Possibly so. I used your sheet with a couple of other www and they worked fine. However, even the .com page of your www failed to load
So I can connect with that URL using IE or Firefox. What is there in Excel that could cause it to be blocked by the site? Fails with 2003, 2007 and 2013.
Sorry, I only have Chrome, and can't make any comparisons....
If I paste the URL to an Outlook message, and send it to myself, it works.
If I paste the URL in a new Excel web query, it works.
Hot damn. After I pasted it to a new web query, not it works from the worksheet hyperlink. Does yours now also work?
