Detecting which other cells are affected by a cell

I'm working with a large spreadsheet designed by someone else. Is there any way of detecting which other cells are affected by a particular cell.
For example if cell B2 in Sheet 1 is used as a factor in formulae in cells QS45, SD20 and XA440 on Sheet 40, is the any way that I can tell that at B2? At the moment I've no idea, if I delete something, if that might affect this or other sheets.

    Select B2

On the menu bar select formula and then trace dependants.

I see that works within the same sheet but is there any way to detect depentant cells on another sheet in the same workbook. For excample where the total of workings on one sheet contributes to an overview of all sheets.

Yes, you can see dependents on other worksheets. You need to double-click precisely on the black arrow head (on the pictured example at the bottom right of cell B2) you will then get the "Go To" dialog box listing each reference on other worksheets.

Many thanks for this Geoff. It has made a vast difference to my understanding of a very complex (for me) spreadsheet and has enabled me to add in further sheets so as to match the original.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier - have been away.
