    Weekly bar chart needed for percentage results

    Hi,

    I've attached my current project which contains 2 worksheets. First one being the percentage of sales made using a store card over each week day.

    What I am looking to do is on sheet 2 make a horizontal bar chart with the days of the week left/vertical and percentage bottom. But also to have a drop down box where I can select the week relative to sheet 1 to display the results in the chart.

    I can make bar charts but can't work out how to make the chart update via using a drop down box.

    Any help appreciated thanks.

    It's not clear to me exactly what you are looking for. My first guess is to create a basic bar chart, then use filters to display the desired data. Here's what I did; see if this is close to what you are wanting:

    1) Select B4:I56->Insert chart -> Clustered bar.
    1a) Since Excel assumed I wanted series in columns, click on "switch row/column".
    2) Select a cell in the table and create an "autofilter" table: https://www.wikihow.com/Use-AutoFilter-in-MS-Excel
    3) Select the dropdown that appears for the "week" column and choose which week number to display. Excel will hide the other rows, and your chart should follow, showing only those weeks you tell it to display.

    Is that something you can work with?

    Re: Weekly bar chart needed for percentage results

    Thanks for the quick reply and sorry for not being clear.

    I have uploaded another worksheet with a drop down box and chart on sheet one showing the kind of results I am looking for.

    In the example, on the chart I would have the title as Week 4, week 4 would be the Sunday to Saturday and across the bottom would be 0 to 100 representing the percentage.

    The drop down box would display the required data in the chart.

    The chart should be on sheet to so I can make a printable page hence why sheet to is in page layout format.

    Hope this helps you understand more.
