    How to write formula to determine Price

    Good day will be easy question for most of you! How would I write this formula to calculate

    Price = - 5,269+ 8,413 x Carat + 158.1 x Cut + 454 x Clarity

    Carat = .51
    Cut = 4
    Clarity = 4

    The answer here depends on a few things...

    For instance does this...
    - 5,269+ 8,413 x Carat
    mean take 8,413 x carat value and THEN subtract 5,269
    OR
    subtract 5,269 from 8,413, and THEN x the answer by carat?

    maybe if you gave some dummy expected answers?

    Cool re: How to write formula to determine Price

    Price: D1
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    Carat: A1 = .51
    Cut: B1 = 4
    Clarity: C1 = 4
    first is multiplication then sum (if no brackets)

    you can change values in A1,B1 and C1 and get result in D1 as you wish
