Remove Excel Title Bar Status From Window

Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the Excel status from the Title Bar? For example, my file name is MyExcel.xlsx. When I have the file open the window says "MyExcel.xlsx - Excel" or if I save it it says MyExcel.xlsx - Saving..." or "MyExcel.xlsx - Saved". I want to remove the hyphen and everything after it.

The constant window title change makes breaks my API function FindWindow from working. I'm using this function to hide and restore the excel window. I've been searching all day for a wildcard solution but with no luck, I'm resorting to trying to eliminate the status caption.

Have you tried playing around with the Caption property under the Application object, thus :

Hi Dominic,

Interesting, I didn't think of that. Unfortunrntly, the caption still changes when I save the workbook and after its saved, the caption property no longer takes effect.
