    How to Link Two Excel Sheets together

    Hello everyone.
    Please I have this spreadsheet with 2 sheets embeded.
    Sheet 1 is the data and sheet 2 is the summary sheet.
    What I am having issues with now is how to draw data from sheet 1 (data) and summarize the male and female and total of each school.

    This means I have to look for each school and also calculate how many male and female of that school.

    =COUNTIFS(DATA!$B$2:$B$142,SUMMARY!$B4,DATA!$F$2:$F$142,SUMMARY!C$2)

    but i really don't understand the way the formula has been nested.

    please if you dont mind putting me through in brief so i can nest it on my own.

    The COUNTIFS function applies criteria to cells across multiple ranges and counts the number of times all criteria are met. Really useful function which saved my life many times.
