Number stored as text, trying to record macro to ignore the error

Hi, In my workbook I have macros that copy specific cells from one worksheet to another.
Some cells are negative numbers which display as (200.00) and so excel marks these as numbers stored as text.
I wont to keep them as text. But I have to go to each cell and click the exclamation mark and ignore the error for each one.
I tried to record a macro by clicking the exclamation to ignore the error but that obviously doesn't work.
How can this be done please? I know it's a trivial little thing but it would make me very happy if those little markers were gone LOL
    Many thanks in advance

    Try:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
and create shortcut (Ctrl+something), then via shortcut You can 'convert' these 'textvalue' to number in activecell.

Hi KOKOSEK, Thanks for your suggestion but this converts the text to a number. I wont to keep it as text .
To do this manually I would select the cell, the exclamation appears, mouse click on the exclamation and choose the Ignore error option, this will hide the marker in the corner of the cell.

For some reason my reply isn't showing up on the reply, so I apologise if they all arrive together.

WANT TO KEEP or WON'T TO KEEP?
You just want to remove info about incorrect format and keep it as text, right?

Select range of cell with 'errors' and run this macro:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
it removed from all of them and keep it as text
