Correct me right away if this is a macro I should be focusing on instead.
I need to index a field of data but only need to pull the rows that have a specific phrase in them. i.e. there is some odd 2000 rows and 2 dozen columns, and in those rows lets say I only need to have indexed the rows that have the phrase "deduction" and have everything else omitted. The columns are easier since the headers are perfect as is, but I wanted to clean up this huge sheet with only the info needed. It is part of a process I am trying to automate so I was trying to steer away from a filter as well. Is there a function I can use in the index function that can help with this?
