Copy Visible Cells Vs All Cells

Hello,

I tried referring multiple sites to find this but could not and hence seeking to see if this can be addressed through this forum

I understand using Alt + ; ( Or F5 -> Go To Special - > Visible Cells Only) will select ONLY filtered / visible Rows and then we can proceed to copy / paste. But my question even if Ctrl + C is used directly it copies only visible cells and not rows which are hidden ( i tried).

so, what scenarios will actually require us to use Alt + ; ( where if we do not use this it will copy entire set, so using this becomes mandatory if we require only filtered data )

In cases where the data is hidden (not filtered), as in selecting rows 4:6 of 10 rows of data then right clicking the mouse and selecting 'hide'. In this case using Ctrl + c copies all 10 rows, whereas using Alt + ; copies only the 'unhidden' rows, 1:3 and 7:10.
