Trying to calculate shift time (headcount) between two times

    Hi Experts!

I've been breaking my head to try and calculate the headcount of employees logged in between two shifts.

It seems to work for the first instance (Row 3), but Row 9 throws up an issue. It throws up 1 in G9, which should ideally be blank.

The attached worksheet shows my very inept attempt; hope someone can show me what I'm doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance..

    Nat

Tried Google as well as searching across the forum, but hit a dead end. Maybe i'm just too thick.

See if this version works for you. As previously stated these projects are not mine and I can't take credit nor offer advice on them.
I maintain a copy of these in my "toolbox" as your question has been asked numerous times by others seeking an answer. I hope
this one will assist you as it does include at least one employee working past midnight.
