    Gridline Color

    Hello,

Is it possible to change the gridline color to blue for the whole workbook? This is an existing workbook with many sheets.

    Thank you

yes, go to the upper corner of the sheet at the little triangle between row 1 and column A, click to highlight the whole sheet, right click and select format cells, select Border then click on the color dropdown then select the color, then click ot show which cell borders you want that color then hit ok.

    Re: Gridline Color

I misunderstood your request, that was for one sheet, but it can be done for multiple sheets, before doing the recommendations in my post, go to the bottom sheet, then right click and choose "select all sheets" then just repeat what I wrote in post #2. Should take care of it for you.

Thanks I will look into setting a template workbook. I prefer the gridlines to be blue for all of my projects.

    Re: Gridline Color

I would like to set my template to show 15 sheets with blue gridlines but it isn't working.

Only 3 sheets show up when opening a new workbook.

    Can you help?

    Re: Gridline Color

under File tab at the top left go to and open options, then in General under "when creating new workbooks" increase the number in the up / down dropdown for "include this many sheets: and increase it to 15 then hit ok. This will change the number of sheets in the workbook for all new workbooks so if you want fewer you will either have to delete some or decrease the number again.

    Re: Gridline Color

I tried that but it isn't working. It only shows 3 sheets and when I add new sheets I have to format them each one at a time.

    This is frustrating!

I would like to have 15 sheets that are all formatted the same when opening new workbooks.

    I appreciate any help sir

    Thank you

    Re: Gridline Color

If you want to change the grid lines, rather than adding borders, select all sheets > File > Options > Advanced > scroll down to "Display options for this worksheet" > select the gridline colour you want.

    Re: Gridline Color

I added sheets so there are 15.

I set the row heights, column widths, font type, font size.

I selected all sheets and went to file options and set the gridline color to blue.

Only the first 3 sheets had gridlines blue. Sheets 4 thru 15 were gray.

I want them all to be blue and have this as a template so when opening a new workbook it will have 15 sheets with the settings the same.

I thank you very much for your help
