Make a list box stay on top and remain viewable at all times

Is there anyway to make a list box stay on top and remain viewable?

I have my top 3 rows frozen so I can scroll the rest of the document without disrupting the top rows. My list box is in this frozen section, and it drops down or hangs over the unfrozen section. This is perfectly fine, but the problem is when I scroll down in the unfrozen section, the list box portion that hangs over these rows also scrolls up, thus hiding many of the results from the list box.

Please tell me there is a way to make the list box always show without being affected by this scrolling action. I have tried clicking on it and selecting Ordering/Bring to Front multiple times, but that makes no difference.

I have included pics of the list box before and after scrolling for anyone that may be confused by my explanation. The rows beside the list box are numbered so you can easily see the difference between when I scroll down and not scrolling.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

It can be reproduced easily. I just created a new workbook and it does the same thing. You just freeze the first 3 rows, then place a list box on any one of the frozen rows. Make sure you extend it so it hangs over the unfrozen rows. Now, when you scroll down, the list box scrolls up. It will not stay extended even if you check the box to keep it extended. I assume it is by design, but I'm just hoping there is a way to get around it and make it always stay on top.

I've uploaded an example. Just start scrolling down. The list box should always stay extended but you'll see quickly, it does not.

It's by design. things is the frozen section remain whilst those outside, including overhangs, move.

Either increase row height so list box fits, or reduce height of listbox to fit.

Could you use a combobox instead of a listbox?

Sure, but I assume it will have the same issue since it's by design. I really need it to stay extended. I review the results from the list while I'm scrolling down, and it's frustrating to have to keep clicking back on the list just to see it again. The top rows also have to stay frozen as I need to view/compare those results as well.

It's not apparent what purpose this listbox serves from sample provided.

But you could try using Modeless Userform and listbox in it. So you can have it visible at all times.

That could work for sure. Time to learn how to use Userforms again. Its been a long time since I last used one.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
