Protecting a Worksheet stops Table from Adding New Rows

    Hi,

I want to protect a worksheet on order to prevent the users from constantly resizing the rows and columns on a table. BUT, when you do this it stops the table from automatically adding new rows that are formatted as a table.

Is there a way around this?

Sadly, no. It is an "unfortunate feature" of Structured Tables on Protected Worksheets.

You could maybe have a button with a few lines of code to unprotect the sheet, add a new row to the Table, and reprotect the sheet.

    okay, thanks.

Yes, thats what I might do. Unlock, add a few blank rows and then lock again.
