    Language Translation Options

Hi. I have a large spreadsheet that I am marketing worldwide. It is written in English. Is there an easy way for a user in another country to translate the entire workbook into a different language?

I know that it can be done on individual cells, but that would be too cumbersome.

Even doing 1 worksheet at a time would work.

    Thanks!

    Hi LKERN

A while ago I created a multi-language Excel file that automatically adjusted itself according to which 'country flag' the User clicked on the Startup page. All of the sheet tabnames adjusted to the language chosen, all the message-boxes and sheet headings changed to match the selection. The Chinese tabnames looked particularly different to me!

I remember having multiple flags on the startup page, covering 10 languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian etc etc etc.

The VBA code was the same regardless of language option chosen.
To do this, you must use sheet-codenames rather than sheet tabnames in the vba code.
There was a 'master' hidden sheet that had the language-text in separate columns.
The 'chosen flag' at startup determined which column-offset would be used for the worksheets etc etc etc.

Wow, zzzeddy. That sounds amazing. I think that is a little above my skill level.

You wouldn't have a copy that you would want to share would you?
