Paste from Excel into Word

I feel dirty for posting this question. Because I only ever have had bad luck with pasting Excel into Word. 105% of the time word tables are broken. The other -25% of the time it still doesn't work.

Is there a trick for pasting an excel document into word... without word going crazy?

Either word will change the width of the columns, leaving nothing as uniform and the tables are shambles... or it will paste with half the table being off the side of the page and it won't let me resize.

Any suggestions?

Try Pasting as picture.
Click on paste special / Right click, U

This is also not allow other to change the values of excel context.
