I am trying to create a Search Function referencing a sheet with Index & Match Function

    Hi all,

I am currenly begining to learn Index & Match Function in Excel via a couple of tutorials and finally trying to apply it on my Table.

I have currently have a Main Table with some Data filled. The Primary key for the Table is the Email address.

In my Search Tool Tab, I have a dropdown list whereby i populate the available email addresses found in my table.

What i am trying to achieve is when i select an email address, it should display the table entry for that email address it matches.
However in my table there are multiple records with the same email address.

So i have been using Index and Match formula and tried to display the search results.

    =INDEX(Main!$A$2:$A$13,MATCH('Search Tool'!$B$3,Main!$A$2:$A$13,0))

The problem i am facing now is, its able to display the data correctly if there is only 1 entry in the table. However when i try to replicate this to display multiple data its not able to work.
Im not sure what i am missing out here in the formula, and also how do i capture the N/A error in the Formula?

    Appreciate your valuable feedback.

    Cheers!!

Re: Index & Match not functioning properly.

The title still doesn't tell us what you are trying to achieve. INDEX MATCH is functioning correctly: you need a different approach, and this is why your thread title is so poor. Once again, please say what you are trying to do in the title. Thanks.
