Configuration Options on each tab that flow to a master configuration tab

    Hello all!

I hope this makes sense. To start, I work for a credit union and I am creating a spreadsheet that calculates concentration of our loan portfolio by credit score. To get more granular, I want to be able to actively choose what types of loans to include in the calculation. For simplicity sakes, let's say auto loans, mortgages, and credit cards are the three options.

I have one tab that serves as a "configuration" tab, as in the types of loans have a cell where the user puts an "x" next to the loan type they want to include. Following that tab are 20-30 additional tabs where the calculations on those tabs refer to the configuration sheet to determine what types of loans to include in that tabs' calculation.

This works fine, but the issue I run into is in live modeling. If I want to see the impact of removing one type of loan, I have to change tabs, de-select that type, then come back to my tab. You lose the impact of watching charts/graphs change, and it can be difficult to compare.

What I'm hoping for is a way to provide the user a means of changing the configuration setting on each individual tab (so you don't have to flip back and forth), that then flows back to the master configuration page in real time, and thus impacts the remaining tabs. I hope that makes sense! I have uploaded a very generic sample of what I'm talking about. Change the "x" values in the Config Tab will alter the calculations in Analysis/Analysis 2. But I'd want to be able to change the settings in the Config Tab FROM the Analysis/Analysis2 tab in real time.

    Thank you!

Hello grosnd31 and Welcome to Excel Forum.
Perhaps the following perspective may help.
As opposed to the X's on the Config Tab, you might consider pivot tables on the Analysis and Analysis 2 sheets with a slicer on each sheet that would display the types of loans.
