    Red face For advanced excel users please help

    Hi every one, How can you write down such formula:
    if the sum of a random 5 cells out of 7 consective cells = a number, then, assigen this number to the current cell.
    its is something like: =IF(SUM(random 5 cells out of 7 consective cells)>=24),125,100))

    Without adding helper cells or using VBA, you could probably use something like the formula below, which sums the range of cells (A1:A7) then subtracts a random cell from the first three cells in the range and then subtracts another random cell from the last four cells in the range. (This is done so the same cell isn't subtracted twice, giving you a sum of the other six cells.)

    Also note that every time the worksheet recalculates, the result can change as RANDBETWEEN is volatile.
