Startup Error in Excel 2016 - cannot find web or file query

Hi fellow Excel user!

When starting up my Excel 2016 (Office suite run under Windows in Bootcamp for Mac), I get an annoying error, not serious since I only have to click OK and continue.
The error message states that it cannot find something, not sure if it is a file, a web link or what, but would appreciate suggestions how to get rid of it.

I Googled it but didn'f find a solution so had to put up with it for a couple of years. Now having some time with all the social distancing, decided to take another try.
Again any suggestions are appreciated!

Not sure if this works for you but;

- In "Data" tab, click "Existing Connections",

- You should see a list of connection files,

- Hold the mouse over them and see the path of the connection file which creates the problem for you,

- Go to the file path and delete it.

That's the funny thing, this error message only happens when starting up the Excel program (no particular file), if I start Excel by opening a given file then there is no issue/no error.

Repair on the installation ... you might be onto something. How should I proceed? Have to look for the program I guess ...
