    excel hyperlink

I want to create a hyperlink that when clicked on will take me to a location in the sheet, based on the text value in the cell (not the cell location). The sheet and hyperlink shown in attachment take me to a cell location – I have to maintain the cell location and text value as I get new data in. If the hyperlink will take me to a matching text value in column D when I click on a text value in row 1, I will not have to maintain text value and the cell location containing that text value in column D
    Thanks for the help

    Re: excel hyperlink

Why ask for help on an excel sheet and then include a word document for people to look at. Include a representative excel file as per the yellow banner at the top

    Re: excel hyperlink

Yes but you want a solution in an excel document, using information in that document. So why send a screenshot? A solution can not be put in a screenshot. As everyone is a volunteer it is not reasonable to expect them to retype data in order to provide you wish an answer. the easier you make it for people, with clear questions, expected answers, covering every possibility (is data all numbers, can cells be blank, how many outcomes are possible etc) the quicker you get an answer. the fact that is it now over a day since you posted the question , goes to illustrate this point

Thanks for your comments . I have continued to work on a solution - a dynamic hyperlink. I will post a spreadsheet with my status later today.

I have attached a spreadsheet with data and a dynamic hyperlink which take me to the bottom of a data list.
I need to change the hyperlink to take me to the occurrence of a specific text such as "TREK", "CERVELO" etc...
    Thanks Carroll

    Re: excel hyperlink

I agree with the above answer, but you have not stated if it is the first or last occurrence. the above (Joseph) is the first which is probably what you want, for the last

    =HYPERLINK("[# dynamic-hyperlink.xlsx]'dynamic hyperlink'!B"&LOOKUP(2,1/("TREK"=$B1:$B11),ROW(B1:B11)),"TREK")

This works ok on my spreadsheet, but when I upload to OneDrive and do a shared link - the hyperlinks no longer work.
