Count how often a value occurs

Hi

I'm looking to count the quantities of each type but can't work out how to do it!?

Please see image below.

Type would be in column A and Quantities would be in column C.

With 501 in C2 and 503 in C3... =SUMIF(A:A,C2,B:B) in D2, copied down.

if I have misinterpreted your request, see the yellow banner (top of page) and attach a sample sheet, not a picture of one.

D2, copied across:
=SUMIF($A:$A,D$1,$C:$C)
