Hello all,
I am in the process of designing a naval wargame on excel. The game features a map as a background divided by cells where players move their vessels and do actions. It currently works fine when different players have screens with the same dimensions.
However, when the excel file is loaded onto another computer with a different screen size, the cells arrange differently over the background, such that they indicate different coordinates on the map of each player. The cells are the same size but the background picture fills up the available space and more cells are needed to fill that same space.
For instance, Player A might have cell AA19 in South Africa, whereas for player B cell AA19 is in the Indian Ocean.
Is there any way to "lock" the cells to the background picture or limit the size of the background picture so that it displays the same way across different screens? I would like to keep using excel because it makes calculations easy and everything is integrated. I also don't believe Google sheets can display background pictures.
Thank you and best regards,
