How to update my old data with newest in one column

Hello there,

I have excel report from my company app system, there are some column like Entry Date, Costumer Name, Phone Number, and etc with thousand row data.

example, i have one costumer with two entry date, let's say in 2019 and 2021.
between that years, my costumer already change their phone numbers so i have 2 rows from one costumer data that have 2 different phone number.

and i want to know, how can i update my Costumers Phone number with newest data basic from newest Entry Date.

i've already try "vlookup" to replace, but i can't make it sure will works fine. Hope you are can help me with this.

Assum the newest date was always the last, with looking name is in A1:

=lookup(2,1/(name _column=$A$1),phonenumber_column)

If dates are in random order, try to upload a sample worksheet
