Excel memory issue

I'm working on a large file and when trying to add/delete rows, I keep getting the error that Excel does not have enough memory to complete this action.

Step 1: right mouseclick > insert or delete

Step 2: the following error pops up > I clicked ok

Step 3: the following error pops up > row cannot be inserted/deleted

I noticed the scroll bar is HUGE, and Excel will scroll all the way to the last possible cells. The file size is causing the program to repeatedly crash, so we'd like to remove the blank rows. How can I prevent this issue from popping up, to be able to delete the unnecessary rows?

I tried even 1 row at a time, but since both horizontal and vertical are so huge it still won't let me

So, I tested just copying my data to a new sheet to get rid of all the empty cells which worked. Issue resolved!

RE davsth - correct, none of those were the issue
RE mrshorty - the empty cells were at the end of my data (aka my table was until row BA, but there were empty cells until approx XYZ)
