I was trying to see if its possible to link a local excel file with a google sheets file and work locally and have the changes reflect on the google sheets file, is that possible?
As a test i created a google sheet, imported a test file from my pc and made changes and entries in the local file and saved, but nothing ever reflected on the sheets file.
Is it possible? Is there more to it if it is?

You need to use a "Post" method by VBA on the Excel side and use JavaScript on Google Sheets side to write the posted data into Google Sheets.

thank you, ill take a look at this and see if its even something to pursue. May be more trouble than its worth for this file..
