I need to search a group a cells to find a value that is not "FALSE" and then display it

    Hello all,

I am a new excel user with what seems to me to be a simple problem but after looking for over an hour have not found the correct line to display what I need.

I have I3 set up as a drop down list from B2:B9 and I4 set up to display whether its time in minutes they will input or distance in km. J4 is the cell where they input either their time or distance and J5 is the cell where I want the number to show up. Right now I have it so that column G will either display the correct information or say "FALSE" because I thought it would be a relatively easy thing to take any cell in column G that displays a number instead of "FALSE" and display it in J5, but have not been able to find the correct formula that will get my desired effect. I previously tried one long nested IF statement with all of my column G IF statements into it but after 4 nested if's it would fail. If anyone has some insight into what I should be doing I am open to any comments as I am new and only know the basic formulas right now.
    thanks you in advance,

    J
