Scatter: Cannot plot negative values

I was stuck at my homework for the whole week and wish you may give me advice. I am using office 365.

I need to plot a scatter graph of stress against strain. strain in x axis. Stress in y aixs. And the axial strain is positive, and should appear on positive x axis. Since radial strain is negative, it should appear on the negative x axis.

However, when i plot, radial strain appears on positive x axis.

So i have adjusted the bounds of axis, however, it still doesn't work??? the data still appears on the positive x axis?

Screenshots are of very limited value. In particular the data you are showing does not match what is in the chart. Your first value for axial stress is over 2,000,000 but that is not what is in the chart.

Please attach your actual file so we can dig into how this chart is built. See yellow banner at the top of the page.

I don't know how you created your chart, but couldn't fix it. I created it from scratch and it looks fine.

It can plot virtually unlimited points. The limit is 255 series.

Selecting Attachment 757002 results in the following message: "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator".

To attach an image, first click on Go Advanced under the edit window, then proceed to attach the image. This is a bug in our system.
