I'm trying to figure out a way that I can do automatically shift data in another column based on movement and additions on another worksheet. I'll try and lay out the example as clearly as possible.
Here goes nothing...
Worksheet #1("DATA") Data:
Row 1 (Cells 1:1) - "Names"
Row 2 (Cells 2:2) - Start Date
Row 3 (Cells 3:3) - End Date
Rows 4-20 -- Various Data - Data not relevant to end goal
Worksheet #2 ("QTY")
Row 1 (Cells 1:1) - "Names" --- auto fill based on what the corresponding cell on worksheet "Data" shows
Row 2 (Cells 2:2) - "Start Date" --- auto fill based on what the corresponding cell on worksheet "Data" shows
Row 2 (Cells 3:3) - "End Date" --- auto fill based on what the corresponding cell on worksheet "Data" shows
Here's where I am stumped. I will be entering numerical data under each name on Worksheet #2 "QTY" however I as enter new names and dates on "DATA"; I do so in chronological order and insert new columns. BY doing so this causes all the data to shift accordingly on Rows 1-3 on worksheet #2 "QTY" as well. But the data manually entered below in Rows 4-90 on "QTY" need to shift as well. Is this possible?
I've attached a quick example of what I am talking about. I colored the column to show the unwanted movement vs what is wanted caused by the additions.
