    Conditional Formatting in a Pivot Table

    Hey Guys,

    In the attached sample file, I have a "Shortage Report" sheet in which I am trying to use a conditional formatting on column J "Shortage Incl. PO" to display "Fulfilled" when it is 1 and "Short" when the value in the cell is 0. But I can't seem to find the option to "Apply rule to all cells showing "column name" "as shown in the attached screenshot. My excel version is 2016, no 365 subscription. I am not sure how to do it though. Every time I try to do it, the cells don't reflect the changes as I need them to. Can someone please help.

    Thanks in advance

    To clarify: In column J. . .do you mean to change the value of the contents if it's 1 to be "fulfilled"; and if it's 0, the cell will display: "short"? Any color or highlighting changes?

    Just the cells to change values. Maybe also highlight with a yellow background when it says "Fulfilled". If you could also help me understand how I can do it, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    You can change your PT fields to remove Shortage Code, and replace it with the Shortage Incl. PO field. It'll put it in column C. CF as desired.

    Not perfect; as it'll go to col. C. Beyond my pay grade to get it to move, as it's got a filter icon and what demands that it be there is a mystery to me. Maybe another forum member can offer something in that regard.

    Thanks for the inputs Pete. Appreciate it

    I tried the suggested step already but I need it to display this next to PO Due. I was trying the method suggested in https://www.contextures.com/excelpiv...nalformat.html but my in version of excel I cannot find the option to Apply it to all cells showing "Shortage Code"

    I believe that this is what you want.
    1. Select J10:J29
    2. Conditional Formatting
    3. All cells showing "shortage incl. PO" values
    4. Use a formula to determine which cells to format
    5. =J10=0
    6. Format > Custom > in the 'Type' window type "Short"
    Repeat steps 4:6 for Fulfilled (5. =J10=1)
