Number of open cases

Hi guys
Was wondering if someone could help me with a headache im having with excel.
I'm trying to find out how many cases i have had open each month.
Data looks like this

Job Status Date Opened Date Closed
1 Closed 01/01/2022 01/03/2022
2 Open 01/02/2022
3 Closed 01/03/2022 01/04/2022
4 Open 01/03/2022

So the formula will tell me
Jan cases 1
Feb cases 2
Mar cases 4
Apr cases 3

Even if a case is only open a day i need it to tell me i have had a case in this month

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook, then we would be better able to see how your data is laid out and how you want the results to be shown.

To do this, follow the instructions in the yellow banner at the top of the screen.

You can use this formula in cell B2 of the Results sheet:

=COUNTIFS(Data!$B:$B,">="&$A2,Data!$B:$B,"<="&EOMONTH($A2,0))

then copy down to the bottom of your list of dates.
