Error Message when Opening Excel

Hi,

Does anyone know how to fix this error?

It has started happening when I open Excel. I've tried the Office Quick and Online Repair fixes but nothing helps.

I did try Google but couldn't see that anyone else had encountered the same error.

To get rid of this error, check out the below mentioned solutions:

Disable Protected View

1. Open Excel and click the Options in the bottom-left corner.
   
2. Click on Trust Center and click Trust Center Settings
   
3. Switch to the Protected View tab and uncheck all options.
   
4. Then click OK to save the changes.

Now check if the issue disappear when opening the files again. But this is only a workaround currently and make sure all files are safe and have a strong antivirus installed on the local PC.

2.Rename the file and change the file type.

The error message clearly states that corruption in the workbook is preventing it from opening. It may be challenging to determine what causes Excel file corruption. A workbook can get corrupt due to different reasons, like a system crash while saving the file, importing an Excel file from another system, power failure, drive errors, etc.
