I have a workbook (Workbook A) that has formulas linked to another workbook (Workbook B), and I'm trying to delete the reference to Workbook B's name in the formula bar for every cell in the Worksheet (about 200 references). Here is an example of the formula before doing the Find/Replace All
The goal is to have this be the formula.
Note when it works you don't need to put the apostrophes into the Find/Replace bar, so I know this is not the issue
I use Find/Replace All by Finding Workbook B's name and Replacing it with nothing, and it works perfectly about 1/3 of the time.
But the other 2/3's of the time it finds the first cell with Workbook B in the formula bar and this is what the Formula becomes
The apostrophes are still there, it's only Replacing in one cell, and it's adding [End]. Not sure if it makes a difference, but Workbook B is a 5 MB .xlsm file, so maybe the size has something to do with the memory? What's absolutely mind boggling to me is that it works 1/3 of the time.
Also the other 199 formulas referencing Workbook B aren't affected by the Replace All.
I've documented the steps too and I'm not making any deviations. I've also closed all other applications so it's not like the 1/3 of the time it's working I have less apps running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
