Subtraction of the sums of two columns isn't equal to the sum of their subtractions

Hi, please, please help, this is driving me crazy and I wasted way too much time on it:

I have two columns "col1" and "col2", each one contains time values between 00:00 and 23:59, formatted as "hh:mm".

I have a third column "col3" where, in each row, I subtract the time values of "col1" and "col2" that are in the same row as the cell in "col3".

    , I get "17:25" formatted as "[h]:mm".

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Negative timevalues are rounded up to zero
The sum of these negative times is the difference.

    Thank you!
I removed the IF statement and it gave me reasonable results.
