    Can't connect two slicers

I have two pivot tables in my workbook. Each pivot table has matching headers and each has slicers attached to them. I would like to link the slicers together but when I go into report connections I can only see one pivot table. How do I see both pivot tables in the list so I can link them?

Do the pivot table use the same source data? It sounds like they don't.

No. They do contain similar elements but the two pivot tables are from two data sets. I could combine them, but it would be a huge data set. Is there any way to link without building the data set from hell?

It might be possible to load the two data sets into a data model and then produce a third data set with unique values of one of the "similar elements" that could be used to build a one to many relationship to each of the other two data sets.
For more specific help please give us a sample of the two data sets.
