Excel Shared Docs no longer save last view

I'm using Office Professional 2019 Excel, on Windows 10, with shared documents- Legacy Version on our small office network.

In the past, when I filtered, hid columns, etc., it would save that view, and open on the last tab I was working in. A month or so ago, it quit doing that. It opens to a view/tab from quite a while back- the same view every time. It's doing the same thing for others using the shared docs as well.

I know years back, when I had issue like this, I could look to see "Who has this workbook open now," and it would sometimes show myself or other users more than once...showing dates days or weeks before. If I clicked "Remove User" for the old ones, closed/reopened, it would begin working properly again. But now, that no longer helps. If it makes a difference, there's only 4 users, and two of us do all the editing.

Any ideas on how I can get it to save my most current views again? And I really do want it to be the most recent, rather than a set view, because I view it differently depending on the time of month/year.

Thanks in advance for any help. I can usually find answers like this online, but had no success googling.

Okay, I did it a few days ago. Maybe this reply will bump a response.

Sounds like you've got a tough one there - it doesn't sound like it should be happening. Are you using the "remove user" on the current versions that are open as well? That could be the key. Alternatively, you could try saving as a new version of the file and see if that resolves it. Whatever you do make sure you back up the original first just in case!
