    Calculating Time?

EXCEL for office 365. Hi, not posted for a while, stuck and hope someone knowledgeable can assist. I have created a spreadsheet to show how busy our car park is with shift patterns. I would like to highlight with conditional formatting the first and last entry where the total spaces exceed a specific number for that time. The formula below works (I think) for most shift patterns but when the shift starts before and ends after midnight it doesn't. The data is on the attached sheet Spaces_Data Tab. As I said, not posted for a long time.

    =IF(B2<1,"",IF(OR(B1<$AA$2,B1>$AB$2,),IF(B6>50,TRUE,"1")))

    Re: Calculating Time?

    Welcome.

Please edit your profile. Your upload format is not consistent with Excel 2003.

The best solutions often rely on knowing WHICH Office PRODUCT (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File/Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent Excel PRODUCTS are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the Version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 (PC) Version 2211). The version number is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thank you.
    Dave

Rule 03: Cross-posting Without Telling Us

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without telling us about your threads on other forums.

Post a link to any other forums where you have asked the same question.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this.

I have added the crosspost reference for you today. Please comply with this and all our rules in the future

However, if you continue to crosspost, you can expect to have your thread BLOCKED until you update it yourself.

Will do, sorry about that. Joined this forum many years ago and hadn’t read all the rules. Sorry
