Physical Ruler to Read columns of data

I am not sure where this would fit in the forums. I figure general Excel may work since it is all columns and rows.

I am looking for a physical ruler-type tool that has an opening in the middle. The opening would be placed over the specific column of data so that it is easier to read and possibly translate to other documents manually. I feel like I remember this being available in the world from years ago.

Anyone know if these exist and if so what they are called?

Chip Pearson (RIP) had a RowLiner add-in on his website here:

That seems to do what you are asking for.

    Hope this helps.

Good Find. And I think I am going to get that. Although I am seeking a physical, tangible tool. I have to print off one Spreadsheet & go row by row and add the figures into various places in another spreadsheet. I start getting cross-eyed just switching back and forth between spreadsheets so that is why i just print it.

So this may help keep me from getting as crosseyed.

What you are describing sounds like a Dyslexia Reading Ruler. It looks like a ruler with a long cutout in the middle.

    Maybe this as an example:

White dyslexia reading ruler - Must Have Reading Aid | ADHD | neurodivergent (£2.50)

Or you could go to the Dyslexia shop for other ideas: https://www.thedyslexiashop.co.uk/. For example, there are coloured overlays with a line cross.

But just Google Dyslexia Reading Ruler. They're not expensive. To be fair, you could make one out of a piece of stiff card, a steel ruler and a craft knife.
